The Story of Stuff

Happy New Year to all,

As you can see there is a big ole gap in the time since last post. I had a bout of atrial fibrillation in June that slowed down the works a bit and then I just allowed myself to get out of the rhythm of posting.

In the period ahead I am going to share some of the things I have done outside the medical arena for the heart condition. Actually, one of the first things I discovered is that it is not really just a heart issue. There are broader metabolic dynamics at play. In short, since embarking on a plan with Dr. Abdo, a local nutritionist and naturopath I have been symptom free.

In this first post of the year I want to draw attention to a 20 minute video called "The Story of Stuff". It is a very thought provoking look at where all of our material goods come from and where they end up. The real story is that the actual cost to the planet and many of the peoples producing the "stuff" is never calculated in the price.

The video can be seen at: http://www.storyofstuff.com/index.html

As you probably figured out by looking at some of my postings, I am concerned with not only the health of people but the health of the planet as well. Let me know what you think.
